Capital One Savor Card Adds 8% Cash Back on Ticket Purchases

Robert Lin·June 18, 2026·3 min read

Capital One added an 8% cash-back rate on tickets purchased through Capital One Entertainment for Savor and Savor One cardholders, running through the end of the year. This sits on top of the card's usual earning categories, which already include 4% on dining and entertainment.

How the ticket portal works

Capital One Entertainment is a separate ticketing marketplace, not a discount applied to purchases on Ticketmaster or StubHub directly. To get the 8% back, you need to buy through Capital One's own portal, which pulls listings from multiple resale marketplaces but requires you to check out inside their site rather than the original ticket seller's page.

Comparing prices before you buy

Because Capital One Entertainment aggregates listings from resale marketplaces, prices for the same seat can vary by a noticeable amount compared to buying directly from the venue or original ticketing platform. It's worth a quick price check on Ticketmaster or the venue's own site before assuming the 8% back automatically makes the Capital One portal the cheaper option overall.

Who this is useful for

If you already attend several concerts, sports games, or live events a year and pay for tickets by card anyway, this adds real value with no extra effort beyond buying through a different portal. If you rarely buy event tickets, this promotion alone isn't a reason to open a new card — the 4% baseline dining and entertainment rate is the more consistent benefit of the Savor card day to day.

Redemption

Cash back earned this way posts to your account as a statement credit or can be redeemed for a check or bank deposit, same as any other Capital One cash-back rewards. There's no separate points system to manage — it functions the same as your regular cash-back balance.
